What We Do

Each year, 7.6 million children die before their fifth birthdays. Over two-thirds of these children die from conditions that can be prevented or easily treated.

The Best Shot Foundation utilizes strategic and targeted campaigns to urge Congress to provide adequate funding for global child health programs.

The Best Shot Foundation is building a grassroots movement to press Congress to make responsible spending decisions that will protect young children around the world. Best Shot helps individuals:

  • Appeal to the President and Congress,
  • write to newspapers, news programs, and other media outlets,
  • meet with members of Congress,
  • host events in schools, homes, and houses of worship, and
  • lead and participate in student and other groups.

The Best Shot Foundation also works with global health organizations, religious institutions, and universities to urge our leaders to protect vulnerable children.

Best Shot employs 3 core programs to connect with Americans:

  • Faith. Acts. United. – where the faith community and the Best Shot Foundation join to protect all of God’s children,
  • Paint the Town Blue for World Pneumonia Day – an annual event in which landmarks and iconic buildings across the country bathe themselves in blue light to honor World Pneumonia Day, and
  • Pnock Out Pneumonia – a series of dodgeball tournaments that raise awareness and funds to combat global childhood pneumonia.

We are guided by the following ideas:

  • Each year, over five million children under the age of five die from preventable diseases.
  • Practical solutions such as inexpensive vaccines and antibiotics would save these young lives.
  • It is inexcusable for even a single child to die needlessly.

You can help right now.
