The Best Shot Foundation is offering qualified students and recent graduates in the D.C. area an opportunity to help build a grassroots movement to fight preventable childhood diseases that threaten the world's most vulnerable. Specific internships include:

• Marketing and Public Relations,
• Resource Development, and
• Community Outreach.

A description of each intern position is written below.

Successful applicants will work with the founder and former executive director of the Save Darfur Coalition, get experience building a national campaign, develop new and valuable skills, and receive a weekly stipend. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to attend events and seminars to help further their knowledge of fundraising and global health issues.

Marketing and Public Relations: the Marketing and Public Relations Intern will play an integral role in our latest coalition-building initiative. Working as a primary representative of Best Shot Foundation to other organizations, the intern will help create and distribute materials to build a coalition of like-minded groups to protect young lives around the world. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• research and communicate with potential partner organizations,
• create and distribute marketing materials,
• create and edit internal and external communications,
• conduct market and demographic research, and
• perform administrative activities for the organization.

Resource Development: the Resource Development Intern will help identify foundations that support the Best Shot Foundation's mission and initiatives. The intern will help create foundation solicitations and grant proposals.

Key responsibilities include:

• research foundation and funding opportunities,
• help write grant proposals,
• create and edit internal and external communications,
• conduct market and demographic research, and
• perform administrative activities for the organization.

Community Outreach: the Community Outreach Intern will have an important role communicating with Best Shot Foundation partners and members of our affiliated programs. In this role, the intern will draft written correspondences, attend relationship-building meetings, and help expand our newest and growing initiatives. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills are essential.

Key responsibilities include:
